If you have a story similar in nature to the one below, we would like to place it on this WEB site. To qualify, it must reveal GOD's Hand in HIS Creation in a way that others can check the truth revealed in the story or see the possibility of the truth in the story. It cannot be a one time experience that others may or may not experience. You may wrap the truth in a true or fictitious story as desired. The story below is considered a true story.

Three college men were being initiated into a fraternity, but this fraternity had a different way of initiating their pledges. The men were told that they must take turns dating the least popular girl at the college--lets call her Mary.

Mary never wore makeup, she was very withdrawn and dressed plainly. No one could say they had ever seen her smile. It would have been difficult to have found anyone who called her a friend whether boy or girl. These three men had their work cut out for them. The rules were that they each had to date her at least once every week for up to three months, they must be perfect gentlemen, and always find someway to compliment Mary during each date--a difficult problem in itself.

At first it was difficult to get Mary to go out with each of them once a week, but they were committed and persistent. By the third week they were pretty much on schedule. Also by the end of the third week they noticed that Mary was changing each time they dated her. She began using the right amount of makeup and dressing better. She began smiling and initiating conversation. Their compliments became easy and natural. They began enjoying their dates with her. By the end of the second month, they began having trouble getting a date with her because other men at the college began noticing her and asking her out.

Before the end of the three month period the three men had to report to the fraternity that they could not fulfill the complete rules of the pledge because Mary was so popular they could rarely get a date with her. The fraternity considered the pledge fulfilled and the men were accepted accordingly--having learned a valuable lesson of how we can affect the lives of others.

When you touch the lives of others, always strive to do it in the best way possible.
